Worldwide Candle Lighting to remember a child  - 9 December

Welcome on the website of EPLD-medical pro-life association!

Dear visitor, dear medical colleague,

here some informations about “The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting”:

The Worldwide Candle Lighting is one day out of the year when you can
remember a child who has died and know that the world remembers with you. It is a day when you can light a remembrance candle and know that yours is joining with hundreds of thousands around the world.

This Sunday, December 9, bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents, relatives, and friends from across the globe will join together for the Eleventh Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting sponsored by The Compassionate Friends, and you are invited to participate, whether at a formal service, at home with family and friends, or wherever you may be. While the event is officially observed for one hour at 7 p.m. local time around the world, services, both formal and informal, will be held throughout the day.

Wednesday, December 5, the morning started with 435 Worldwide Candle Lighting services listed on TCF's national website and more are being added every hour. There are listings received and posted from all 50 states plus Washington D.C. Submissions have been received for services in 18 countries abroad. We are also pleased to recognize a tremendous show of unity as chapters of many allied organizations have joined in the Worldwide Candle Lighting this year including Twinless Twins, MISS, POMC, MADD, and BPUSA. We are also joined by churches, funeral homes, memorial gardens, hospitals, hospices across the country, local bereavement groups, and informal groups of bereaved families.
We welcome all who wish to join us in remembrance of all children of any age who have died!

Persons seeking a Worldwide Candle Lighting event to attend may check for local services by visiting Worldwide Candle Lighting Events. Check back if you are looking for a service in your area, but none is currently listed. Also, please check your local newspaper for additional services not submitted to TCF's national website.

If you, your organization, group, or TCF chapter are holding a public Worldwide Candle Lighting event and have not submitted the information, please take the time to submit your information today at: Worldwide Candle Lighting Submission Form. If you know of a service not listed on the Worldwide Candle Lighting Events page, please e-mail the information you have to: Wayne@compassionatefriends.org. We will attempt to get more information and list the event.

You are also invited to join us during the Worldwide Candle Lighting by placing a message in the Remembrance Book open for submissions throughout the day. You will be joining people from around the world in this act of love. Last year we received messages from people in 25 countries. Stop back throughout the next few weeks to read the many messages of love and loss. You will be able to enter the Remembrance Book at
www.compassionatefriends.org

If you know someone who would like to learn of the Worldwide Candle Lighting, please forward this e-mail to them using the link below.

If you are unable to attend a formal Worldwide Candle Lighting service,
we encourage you to light a candle at 7 p.m., local time, wherever you may be

. .that their light may always shine!
